Charles started the SourceHOV | Tax Cost Segregation Practice in 2003. After leaving to pursue opportunities in public accounting, he rejoined SourceHOV | Tax in 2012 as the Technical Director of Cost Segregation and EPAct §179D. He has extensive experience in the cost segregation industry having managed more than 1,000 studies in a wide variety of industries. He also has extensive experience in repairs studies under the §263(a) tangible personal property regulations.

He previously served as the national cost segregation services director at another boutique tax services firm as well as having experience providing cost segregation services at both E&Y and KPMG. His specialties include cost segregation, fixed asset accounting, construction advisory services and repairs studies.

Charles develops extensive training materials and frequently leads cost segregation and §263(a) continuing education seminars for organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, both locally and nationally, as well as accounting firms across the country.

Charles holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Tulane University.
